One of best things about my marriage is that my husband likes to read to me. Lately, besides cooking something delicious, being read to may be one of the only things that make me truly happy. Of course there are more important things like my children and grandchildren, their accomplishments etc., but kids stir up performance orientation as well as a love and longing so strong it's almost annoying.
